Version 0.5Version 0.5 introduces the beginnings of Topic Options. These options allow users with the appropriate privileges to close threads and move threads to other forums. The SQL queries have also been refined and a bug involving the search table population has been fixed. The newest version of PapyrusBB is recommended for anyone using WikyBlog 1.6b2 or greater. Version 0.3 AvailableVersion 0.3 was just released and installed here at PapyrusBB.com. It's a very exciting release that has accomplished integrating the forum into the data type system of WikyBlog. Now edits in the forum will show up in the changelog, content will be searchable, and linking will be logged. The only downside is V0.3 is not compatible with V0.2 so if you have V0.2 installed, you'll need to create a new forum with the updated version and phase out the use of the older forum. Version 0.3 in the WorksPapyrusBB is currently under development, and promises to introduce a number of improvements. I've manaaged to integrate the forum in with WikyBlog's file indexing. This will allow for topic, and post changes to appear in the change log. From here, I'm developing the necessary revision history functions to be entirely compatible with the standard change log. Following these improvements, I'll look at adding topic contents in the site wide search index. Up and RunningThe forum is up and running now. I've created a couple of forum topics related to PapyrusBB to get things started. Coming SoonI've been putting quite a bit of work into this project lately, and from what it looks like, I'll have a beta package available early next week. It's working great right now on my dev system, but I'm sure with a little more playing and abuse, I'll be able to find areas in need of improvement. The initial release won't be fully featured either. I might compare it to phpBB 2, probably more like an early phpBB, but then again, PapyrusBB has something phpBB 3 doesn't even have: the tabbed interface! I know some users have their qualms, but I'm a big fan and PapyrusBB makes full use of the interface developed with WikyBlog.com. |
